Country Music Superstar Chris Young to Headline Inaugural Concert at The Sonnentag
The Sonnentag, the brand-new event center and fieldhouse in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is excited to announce multi-platinum, global entertainer Chris Young will be headlining the venue's first-ever concert on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Fans can expect to hear a hit-packed headlining set from the award-winning country music star, including “Gettin’ You Home,” “Voices,” “Tomorrow,” “I’m Comin’ Over,” “Famous Friends” and his newest smash, “Young Love & Saturday Nights.”
Chris Young has accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments, including membership in the iconic Grand Ole Opry, over 5 Billion on-demand streams, 13 career No. 1 singles, 25 R.I.A.A. certified projects and numerous ACM, AMA, CMA and Grammy nominations, as well as wins for Performance of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards. These milestones and more landed the RCA Records Nashville artist among Billboard’s top country artists of the decade.
Young’s 9th studio album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, released March 22 on Sony Music Nashville. The project features 18 songs, 15 of which Chris had a hand in writing. He is the sole producer on three of the songs and shares co-producer credits with longtime creative partners, Chris DeStefano and Corey Crowder. The album’s title track and Top 10 and rising single leans into David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel” signature guitar lick, making the legendary rocker a writer on the song.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale to the public on Friday, Aug. 2 at 10:00 am, with a special pre-sale for University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students, faculty, and staff starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 1.
